Katherine Stinson, JD
- Senior Financial Advisor, FNBO
My career has not followed the “plan” I originally set-out to achieve but I am so happy with the results! I work in finance, wealth management and never envisioned that being my career. My career goals started with a dream of being a detective which morphed to an attorney which has now led me to wealth management. Being flexible during your education, finding mentors you trust, and allowing yourself to explore possibilities you never imagined help you to find the right career for you. Along the way you find yourself and what gifts you can offer the world both professionally and personally. I hope I can help people navigate through hard decisions and come out feeling fulfilled and rewarded.
My advice to students...
Life is full of choices some difficult and some easy. Navigating through these choices is all part of your journey. I think true character develops during life's most difficult moments and how you react to these moments can be a catalyst for wonderful change and growth or disaster. My words are not as great as others and one of my favorite poems is "If" by Rudyard Kipling. It talks about all the trials of life and how you deal with those events. I truly believe the best advice I can give is to share some of my personal struggles and successes and how I learned to grow from each of these and find a life I am happy and fulfilled with.
