  • Life and career coach - Kamil Skwarek Coaching

My 20s were a mix of working for tech startups and spending four years traveling around the world. I've tried to always follow my curiosity and take the path that felt authentic to me even if unconventional. Most recently, I worked for two years in the leadership development industry before pivoting and starting my own life and career coaching company.
For the past year, I volunteered as a mentor coach for America Needs You, helping ambitious first-generation college students navigate their education and secure employment. My college years were a formative time, and I’m excited to mentor the next generation of leaders here in my local Boulder community.

My advice to students...

Self-awareness is the foundation of leadership. You need to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Do you know how other people view you at work or in your community? Do you know how you show up to others?
Connected to self-awareness is humility. You need to be willing to solicit feedback and admit mistakes. Becoming a great leader requires a desire to learn and continued growth. Don't confuse humility with a lack of confidence. You know what you do well and also understand potential blind spots to build a great team around you.
