  • Mechanical Engineer, LASP

I'm a CU Boulder alumni (BS/MS Mechanical Engineering, Leadership) and Colorado native, now residing in Broomfield and working as an engineer in the aerospace industry. I work at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, where I design and build space instruments to research our solar system and beyond. My job provides many opportunities for creative thinking, challenging technical engineering, and interpersonal problem solving. I've also worked with CU's mechanical engineering program for the past five years mentoring senior design teams.

My advice to students...

The world is yours for the taking! I think the key to success early in your career is finding opportunities to get real experience and identify what strengths set you apart. Leadership and responsibility are hard-earned, and the only "shortcut" is putting in the work to make yourself valuable and supportive to the people & teams around you.
