Chip .

Chip is the CEO of the Downtown Boulder Partnership, which administers a Business Improvement District and a public benefit foundation in Boulder, CO. Having worked in Downtown district management for over 20 years, Chip is a strong proponent of building sustainable and equitable cities and supporting social infrastructure.

Prior to coming to lead the Downtown Boulder Partnership, Chip served as the Executive Director for the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz. Chip came to the world of Downtown management through experiences in event production, arts administration, civic engagement, restaurant and venue management, and even a stint with the circus.

My advice to students...

Leadership looks very different today than it ever has and it will continue to evolve with our methods and styles of communication. There are many core elements in true leadership that do and will remain consistent.

Spend time developing authentic convictions and values.
Practice good habits.
Value all of your relationships.
Work hard to avoid becoming cynical. You'll be happier!
Listen to lots of advice, but you decide what fits you.
