Eric Ellison
Sr. Professional Research Assistant
University of Colorado – Boulder • Department of Geological Sciences • Templeton Geomicrobiology and Raman Microscopy Laboratory

Eric manages the Raman Microspectroscopy lab at the Department of Geological Sciences at CU-Boulder, developing applications of Raman spectroscopy and Raman imaging for characterizing minerals, biological samples, fluids, and dissolved gasses. This method has been powerful in detecting and mapping minerals of interest in serpentinites, and many other applications related to the RPL NAI are being explored. In addition, he collaborates with other members of the Geomicrobiology lab on a variety of laboratory culturing and water-rock reaction experiments related to the RPL NAI.
