Jens is a fourth-year Ph.D. student from Circle Pines, Minnesota. His research is supported through the NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunity (NSTGRO) fellowship and lies at the intersection of planetary entry/aerocapture aerothermodynamics and guidance algorithm design. He graduated with a BSc. in Aerospace Engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2020, where he performed experimental hypersonic aerothermodynamics research. Co-advised by Dr. Jay McMahon.
