Cate is a fourth year PhD student from Cleveland, Ohio. She received her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Ohio State in 2023. Her research involves computational modeling of hypersonic entry flows in Ice Giant atmospheres. Specifically, she is interested in quantifying uncertainty in chemical kinetics models for hydrogen/helium/methane flows that are characteristic of the Ice Giant planets.
