Ziliang Li completed his B.E. in Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University in 2017. He then focused on perovskite optoelectronics at University of Toronto under the supervision of Prof. Ted Sargent and completed his PhD in 2022. Yuchun Cai completed her B.S. in Chemistry (2020) at University of Science and Technology of China, focusing on nanomaterials and engineering. Yuchun is currently a graduate research assistant in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Colorado Boulder working on the Windows team in the McGehee group. When not in the lab, Yuchun enjoys hiking with friends and exploring new dishes.

Kell Fremouw completed his B.S. in Engineering Physics at the University of Maine in 2023. His honors thesis was focused on the thermal stability of thin (<250nm) platinum-silicon films for attaching surface acoustic wave resonator sensors to thermally fluctuating industrial parts. Kell joined the McGehee perovskite group in the summer of 2023. Outside of research he enjoys kayaking, skiing, disc golf, and other ways to spend time outdoors.
Sam Johnson

Sam Johnson

Samuel Johnson completed his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015. After graduation he worked as an engineer for four years at organic photovoltaic startup Next Energy Technologies, Inc. In 2019 Sam decided to pursue a PhD at the University of Colorado, Boulder on the McGehee Group. In his free time, he enjoys all manner of outdoor activities, motorcycling, cooking, gardening, and tinkering on personal projects.

Sam Kaczaral

Sam received a BE in Chemical Engineering with minors in nanotechnology and environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2019. In the McGehee group, she is interested in optimizing wide bandgap perovskites for tandem devices. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her dog, playing tennis, and reading.

Gabe McAndrews

Gabe McAndrews received a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from St. Olaf College in 2019. Gabe's research focuses on investigating the origin and impact of stress on stability and reliability of perovskite films for solar cell applications as well as thin films in general. In his free time he enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, frisbee golf, and cooking.
