I'm a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering studying simple planar locomotion models to ease morphological design, control, and motion planning in insect-scale legged robots.

Before CU, I completed my bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering at SASTRA Deemed University, Tamil Nadu, India. Then, I completed my MS in Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle with a focus on Controls Engineering.

I'm more broadly interested in the fields of control theory, dynamical systems, mathematical modeling, biology-inspired robotics, and biomimetics. More specifically, I'm interested in studying locomotion problems in biology-inspired robotics and robotics-inspired biology. On the robotics side, I gravitate towards model-driven design, analysis, and control of robotic systems. On the other hand, I'm interested in studying the locomotion of biological systems.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching anime and movies, and playing and watching sports such as soccer and chess.
