If there is any equipment you need, email the Shared Equipment Coordinator to find out if it exists either in our network or elsewhere. Usually it does!
- Your equipment is out of service and you quickly need to find another that you can use
- The equipment you need is too expensive to purchase, or you don't need it frequently enough to purchase
- You want to try an instrument before committing to a research project or purchasing the instrument for your lab
- The equipment you currently use is a bit out-dated and "there must be something better"
- Or for any other reason!
The Green Labs Core is managed by Luke Wheeler, the Shared Equipment Coordinator, based in the CU Environmental Center. Luke brings more than 15 years of research experience to the role, with a broad background in the biological sciences. He has worked on projects that include protein biochemistry, molecular biophysics, evolutionary genetics, genomics, computational modeling, and botanical field work. Through this work, he has gained experience with many different types of scientific equipment. In addition to seeking access to shared equipment, feel free to reach out with technical questions about usage of the equipment or if you want to chat about experimental design.
