Volunteer

We currently work with volunteers on Wednesday at the east campus greenhouse.

Volunteers do a variety of work. Some tasks do not involve working directly with plants. Possible tasks include:

  • Learn proper methods for plant propagations 
    • Rooting cuttings
    • Planting seeds
    • Air layering 
    • Divisions
  • Take care of assigned benches in the collection 
  • Repotting plants 
  • Pruning the collection 
  • Assisting with pest control 
  • Sweeping floors
  • Assisting with greenhouse organization 
  • Weeding 
  • Organizing clean pots
