Barbara's master's research analyzed the reporting structure in shelter NGOs’ reconstruction work after the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. She explored how such requirements impacted housing project quality and organizations’ decision-making process. She currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband, where they enjoy traveling, working on their new house, and spending time with their family and pets.
