About Sarit Bar-Or

Sarit Bar-Or joined the Program in Jewish Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2025 as an Adjunct Lecturer in Modern Hebrew. She teaches a course in Modern Hebrew language and Israeli culture.
 
In 2024,  Sarit Bar-Or completed with high honors the Hebrew as a Foreign Language Teacher Training Program at the Hebrew Union College, Israel.
 
In 2005 Sarit Bar-Or earned her LL.B degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, followed by an extensive legal career as a senior legal advisor and attorney at-law, specializing in medical law and healthcare risk management. Sarit Bar-Or represented many of Israel’s major medical institutions in medical malpractice cases.
 
Her professional path began with service in the Israel Defense Forces as an Arabic teacher.

 

Areas of Research Related to Jewish Studies:

Hebrew language and literature, Israeli culture, Yiddish Language.
