Interdisciplinary Arts and Humanities Librarian, University of Colorado Libraries

About Megan Welsh:

Born and raised in upstate NY, Megan comes to CU with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Classics (focused on Christianity and Judaism) and minors in Ethics and History from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Though far from the East Coast, Megan fell in love with Colorado as a student at the University of Denver, where she graduated with her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science in June 2012.

Megan is thrilled to be a part of CU’s vibrant research community as the Interdisciplinary Arts and Humanities Librarian at Norlin Library. Part of this role involves acting as the University Library’s liaison to the Program in Jewish Studies. Megan provides research help through one on one research consultations with students and through library instruction sessions for entire classes. She is also focused on strengthening the libraries’ Jewish Studies collection through the acquisition of materials needed for student and faculty research and making connections between people and ideas. “I am eager to partner with members of the Jewish Studies community at CU and to be a part of this spirited growing program.”
