Thomas Pegelow Kaplan publishes new book with Israeli scholar on Jewish Photography, Memory and History

In August, Prof. Pegelow Kaplan published his latest book with SUNY Press, co-edited with Prof. Ofer Ashkenazi (The Hebrew University, Jerusalem). Rethinking Jewish History and Memory Through Photography brings together scholars from North America, Israel, and Europe to offer innovative approaches to key themes in modern Jewish history, including nationalism, migration, race, and antisemitism. Alongside diverse case studies, the volume presents methodological approaches for current and future uses of photoanalysis in interdisciplinary scholarship.
