Yonatan Malin presents talk on "Understanding Jewish Music"

Yonatan Malin, Associate Professor of Music Theory and Jewish Studies, presented a talk on “Understanding Jewish Music” in the First Friday series at Congregation Bonai Shalom in Boulder, CO. He introduced elements that contribute to the power of Jewish music with examples from traditional nusach, a modern niggun, and a Moroccan piyut.
