Yonatan Malin, Associate Professor of Music and Jewish Studies, published "Eastern Ashkenazi Biblical Cantillation: An Interpretive Musical Analysis" in Yuval, the online journal of the Jewish Music Research Centre at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He presented research on relations between music analysis and ethnography at the University of Oregon in May and the Fourth International Conference on Analytical Approaches to World Music in June.
Professor Malin plans to offer a course on Music in Jewish Culture in the fall of 2017.
