Liora Halperin, Assistant Professor of History and Jewish Studies, published an article, "A Murder in the Grove: Conceptions of Justice in an Early Zionist Colony" in the Winter 2015 issue of the Journal of Social History.
Prof. Halperin gave an invited talk at Colorado College on December 4 about the newly inaugurated Israel/Palestine Studies Professorship at CU, entitled "Israel/Palestine Studies: Crafting a New Vision for Teaching and Studying a Difficult Place."
Prof. Halperin also gave invited talks this fall about her book, Babel in Zion: Jews, Nationalism, and Language Diversity in Palestine, 1920-1948, at the University of Southern California's Casden Institute for the Study of the Jewish Role in American Life; the University of California, San Diego; and the San Francisco Jewish Community Library.
