Liora Halperin Awarded Shapiro Award for Best Book in Israel Studies
Liora Halperin, Assistant Professor of History, was awarded the Shapiro Award for best book in Israel Studies from the Association for Israel Studies, for her book Babel in Zion: Jews, Nationalism, and Language Diversity in Palestine, 1920-1948.
Prof. Halperin also taught an intensive 5-session course in modern Jewish history, through the Wexner Heritage Program, to a group of Jewish community leaders in the Denver/Boulder area.
