Get ready for HSNVC!
It’s “off to the races” for the 2026 High School New Venture Challenge–powered by FirstBank. As Colorado’s ultimate entrepreneurial competition for high school students, HSNVC brings together young innovators from across the state to transform bold ideas into solutions that tackle real-world challenges. Teams are currently deep in the creative process, gaining hands-on experience with entrepreneurial tools such as customer discovery, creative problem solving, and venture storytelling.
Right now is one of the most exciting moments in the program cycle, and this year’s enthusiasm is incredible. With 84 teams registered, students are actively refining their concepts—testing assumptions, exploring marketing strategies, and bringing their ideas to life. Final materials are due March 25, when early ideas evolve into polished, pitch-ready presentations.
While some teams pursue business concepts, the program is designed for any student who wants to think boldly and develop solutions to meaningful problems—whether through business ideas, social impact ventures, or innovations that help build a better future for their communities and beyond. Now in its third year, the program continues to gain strong momentum as more students step forward to take part in this unique and transformative experience.
Expanding Access and Opportunity
Designed to open doors for a diverse community of learners, the HSNVC is open to all Colorado high school students, including those enrolled in traditional schools as well as homeschooled. Thanks to our generous partners at FirstBank, the program’s $25,000 scholarship pool will soon be awarded to the top six teams to help pave pathways to college and career readiness. Together, we are especially committed to expanding access for rural, historically underserved, and first-generation students, ensuring entrepreneurial opportunity reaches every corner of the state.
Come See the Next Generation of Innovation
On Sunday, April 19, selected finalists take the stage at CU Boulder for the 2026 HSNVC Final Competition, pitching their ventures to judges and a live audience.
