Tips for Success
Craft your resume in advance and print out copies to bring with you.
Dress for success! Think about the company culture of the businesses you want to work for and match their dress code. When in doubt, dress formally and professionally.
Check out companies in advance on Handshake and get to know their open jobs. Not every job and internship will be listed online but this will give you a good sense!
Give yourself extra time for the fair to browse around and if needed, wait in line for more popular companies.
Write down a list of questions you’d like to ask companies about their work, culture, roles, and application process. Practice some talking points about yourself like your major, interests, skills, and career goals. It doesn’t have to be perfect but mapping this out in advance can be very helpful!
