As we wind down for the holidays, the Venture Partners team wants to celebrate the accomplishments of our resilient community of world-class innovators, business partners and dedicated mentors. 

The transition of our educational programming from in-person to virtual engaged a broader community of faculty, research staff, postdocs, graduate students and mentors to develop their ventures. The impact was evident: we saw not only the largest pool of funding awarded in the Lab Venture Challenge, but also the highest quality of pitches in the 14 year history of the competition. 2020 was also record-setting for new license and option agreements, and for new startup companies formed. We’re excited to share our highlights from this year:
