A large group of mentors and New venture challenge teams network

As NVC rolls along, participants are certainly looking for sounding boards to polish those rough edges and uncover new directions of their future venture. To this end, NVC 10 Mentor Matching Night brought together pioneering mentors and eager participants in an intimate environment brimming with infectious energy. This year, mentors were loosely segregated into themes such as 'How do I find customers for my venture?' or 'How do I make money off my venture?', and participants were free to mingle with many different mentors without being tied to a specific subject. According to participants Nick and Justin, the opportunity to discuss their vision with mentors who have 'been there-done that', was an invaluable experience that is sure to help them channel their energy into building a solid base for their venture idea. Similarly, budding social entrepreneurs Jessy and Finn were enthused by the breadth of experience available for them to extract inspiration from. For mentors themselves, there could not have been a better occasion to experience the enthusiasm that surrounds this years New Venture Challenge, and they are all looking forward to how the teams shape their nascent ideas into a potential winning pitch. Well, we all just have to stay tuned for that!
