SSI Newsletter - Summer Newsletter 2022

Greetings from the Space and Sustainability Initiative at CU Boulder! As SSI continues to evolve and grow as a program, we will always be looking for new ideas and challenges to tackle. This newsletter will be the first in a series of quarterly publications aimed at keeping you updated on the workings of SSI and sharing notable space sustainability news both local, national, and international.
In December we said goodbye to Molly Maceachen, one of the original research assistants for SSI. After working both as a Research Assistant and a Research Associate for two years, Molly has taken her passion for sustainability into the professional world fulltime, taking a job with Deloitte Audit and Assurance. We also welcome a new member to SSI, Taylor Shank, as a volunteer research assistant! She will be bringing her expertise in marketing and passion for sustainable business to SSI's endeavors, already being integral to this Summer Newsletter. Look to see more from Taylor and Mack in the future, including future editions of this newsletter!
SSI members Zack Donohew and Mack Rodgers had the pleasure of attending the Secure World Foundation's Space Sustainability Summit this past June. It was wonderful to connect with many of you in person and share ideas in real time!
We hope this will be the first newsletter of many, keeping SSI at the forefront of Space Sustainability and in frequent contact with you all!
