Scott leads the software development for the Hybrid Human-Agent Tutoring (HAT) project. He is a long-time developer of innovative learning environments. He has been a Director for Software Development and led teams in building software products for career and technical education, automated constructed response (essay) assessment, language literacy (grades 4-12), and professional skills development. He loves balancing the requirements of high-quality research projects and high-impact, commercial-quality products.

Outside of work, his interests include baseball, road trips and other travel, and exploring lesser known, natural and built-world landmarks.
