Kaley joined the RADD lab in 2020 as an undergraduate research assistant where she completed an honors thesis about the impact childhood trauma has on adolescent depression, and the cognitive processes that may play a role in the development and maintenance of their disorder. After graduating summa cum laude with a BA in psychology, she became a full time Professional Research Assistant where she helps coordinate several studies in the RADD lab. Kaley is interested in the cognitive risk factors associated with suicidal ideation, the translational opportunities that come from understanding the mechanisms underlying mood disorders, and how we can use these findings to improve mental health interventions for young adults.
