ICS Fellow Philip Fernbach has a new article in The New York Times on "Why We Believe Obvious Untruths." The article, co-authored with Steven Sloman of Brown University, explores how "so many people believe things that are demonstrably false," and says "the problem is that the forces underlying bogus and real knowledge are similar."
