The Herbst Program currently has two positions available for Assistant Teaching Professors. You can find the details at these links:
Temporary Faculty and Lecturers
From time to time, the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society may seek Lecturers to teach sections of ENES 1010: Engineering, Ethics & Society. These teaching roles are filled on an as-needed basis each semester.
The title of Lecturer is given to individuals who teach on a course-by-course basis. These individuals generally have a PhD in a humanities-related field and experience teaching small discussion-based seminars that include close examination of great works and active engagement in an iterative writing process. The compensation range for these roles is $6,500-$7,500 per 3-credit course and depends on the teaching assignment.
As the Herbst Program is quite small, needs fluctuate substantially from semester to semester. Lecturers are not permanent employees and are hired on a semester-by-semester basis. This position is eligible for employee sick leave earned monthly on a prorated basis. For more information and open opportunities for permanent faculty positions, please visit CU Boulder Jobs.
Interested applicants for Lecturer openings in the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society may contact HR Coordinator Ashley West at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about available positions.
