Continuing Graduate Student Information

All CU Boulder undergraduate and graduate students have access to a full range of on-campus health and wellness services in addition to a variety of virtual offerings. With over 100 licensed health care professionals on staff, we want to enable your success through comprehensive care and education.

To keep you and our campus healthy and safe, there are several health-related requirements and recommendations for all incoming students to complete before arriving on campus.


Graduate Student Checklist

Required

1. Health Insurance Requirement

All students are required to maintain comprehensive medical insurance while attending CU Boulder. You must take action to either enroll in the CU Boulder Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or submit a waiver application using your current insurance information. You will be able to enroll or submit an insurance waiver online once you have registered for at least six (6) undergraduate credit hours or one (1) graduate credit hour.  

Enrollment opens: Dec. 12, 2023
Enrollment deadline: Feb. 13, 2024

Complete Health Insurance Requirement

2. Immunization Requirements

All students must complete the following two immunization requirements:

Requirement 1: Immunizations

  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) 
  • Meningitis (Men-ACWY)

Requirement 2: Forms

  • Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment
  • Immunization Questionnaire related to Meningococcal Disease and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

Students must complete the two immunization requirements before the deadline below to avoid a late fee and registration hold.
