Streaming is the ability to put a video file online, allowing students to watch the movie or clip on their computer (through VPN).  Streaming conversion can be requested through Norlin Library streaming service or ALTEC (Anderson Language and Technology Center in Hellems). We prefer you use ALTEC as their services are free to faculty in language departments. Norlin Library charges fees based on duration of the source material.

1) ALTEC will digitize films that are physically owned by ALTEC or Norlin. Check first to see if the film is already digtized or available on one of the free platforms
2) If ALTEC or Norlin do not have a copy of the film, ALTEC can order in for their library, then covert it to streaming. Fill out the ALTEC course materials purchase request form . There is a checkbox on the purchase form to indicate if streaming is requested.
3) To submit a request for media streaming, use the online ALTEC Streaming Request Form
4) Please allow more time for processing during the busy seasons at the beginning of the semester (August, January) and during COVID-19.

You can contact ALTEC at 303-492-6217 and altec@colorado.edu
