Fall 2025 Recruitment and Intake

Fraternity & Sorority Life Recruitment and Intake are open! This is your opportunity to find your place on campus, make lifelong friendships, gain leadership skills, give back to your community and create some great memories.
- Recruitment is the designated period when students attend a series of organized events to meet fraternity or sorority members as part of the process to join an organization.
- Intake is the membership recruitment and induction process for students to join a culturally based organization.
Panhellenic Recruitment
Panhellenic chapters recruit new members during both the fall and spring semesters. Fall is the primary time for recruitment, with chapters following a formal process. Recruitment in the spring is more informal with continuous open bidding (COB).
Fall recruitment
Primary recruitment happens in fall semester and all National Panhellenic chapters participate. Registration opens on July 1 for fall 2025. If you are interested in being notified when registration opens, please complete this interest form.

Recruitment is taking place over two weekends this year, and we know Sept. 6 is a home football game day. If you miss recruitment events due to attending the game, you will be removed from recruitment. Attending the game is not an excused absence and will not be counted. We plan on having your Rho Gammas connect with you during the week break between recruitment events, so you might have additional, optional events during that week!
Registration is a two-step process, requiring you to fill out an application form on our recruitment software (ICS) and complete a video interview through VidCruiter. Please make sure you complete both in order to be registered for recruitment.
Spring recruitment
Spring recruitment is a more relaxed process called continuous open bidding (COB). During this time, the chapters that participate will host individual recruitment events, typically within the same week. Not all chapters choose to take part. Unlike the formal recruitment in the fall, COB is more casual and offers a laid-back way to meet members.
We encourage all interested students to join the Panhellenic Council's spring kickoff event and keep an eye out for the recruitment schedules from individual chapters as the semester begins. COB can occur throughout the semester, so if you are interested in joining a sorority, fill out this non-binding form. We will share your information with participating chapters.

CU Interfraternity Council Recruitment
CUIFC chapters recruit new members during both the fall and spring semesters. Fall is the primary time for recruitment, with chapters following a formal process. Recruitment in the spring is still structured but more informal. Outside of these two formal periods, chapters can recruit and extend bids for membership at any time.
Fall recruitment
Fall is the primary recruitment period at CU Boulder. These dates will be shared in August, closer to fall 2025 semester. The process has a formal recruitment kickoff, open house week, preference week and a bid day where all groups celebrate their new members together.
If you are interested in receiving information when applications open, please complete this form.
Spring recruitment
Informal recruitment for affiliated fraternities takes place in the spring. Rush will begin at the end of January and last through the middle of February. Check with individual chapters when they’re hosting their open house and preference events. An interest form for spring will come out after the fall semester and we will share your information with chapters.
Multicultural Greek Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council Intake
If a culturally based organization feels like a better fit for you, the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) intake new members all year round. MGC represents seven fraternities and sororities, while NPHC is composed of nine historically Black fraternities and sororities.
Fill out the following interest forms if you would like to learn more about those councils or join a chapter.
Become a Founding Member
Two new organizations are joining our community in spring 2025 and looking for founding members—Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc., a Latina-interest sorority, and Zeta Psi, a new member to CUIFC! Being a founding member allows students to build a foundation for a long-lasting legacy in the community. More information on these new chapters is coming soon! If you’re interested in becoming a founding member, reach out to fsl@colorado.edu.
Learn About Our Organizations
Sororities: Panhellenic is the largest women’s organization on campus with more than 3,000 members. When you join a Panhellenic sorority, you join a group of people who help you grow as a person by connecting you with both undergraduate and alumni mentors, providing spaces to be challenged and supported and helping you find a place to belong at CU Boulder.
Fraternities: The CU Interfraternity Council (CUIFC) provides members with an experience that directly connects them to the campus community with a lifetime commitment to friendship, growth and leadership. These university-affiliated chapters offer fun social events in addition to safe fraternity experiences and well-established programs and resources.
Culturally-Based Organizations: The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) gives members a place to explore their culture and identity through close friendships and mentorships, academic success, community service and personal and leadership development opportunities. The purpose of the MGC is to enrich Greek life on campus and promote unity among our organizations.
Divine Nine: The National PanHellenic Council (NPHC) creates additional space for the university’s Black students to feel stronger senses of belonging, inclusion and engagement. One organization, Omega Psi Phi, is officially registered with CU Boulder and four others are recognized on campus with provisional status.
