Olivia Stanley

  • (she/her/hers)
  • Chief of Staff
  • ADMINISTRATION TEAM

Olivia is a PhD student in the Earth Sciences department, where she studies mountain hydrology and snow science. Her research integrates physically-based and machine- learning models with remote-sensing techniques to better understand how climate change and terrain complexity influence snowpack distribution, snowmelt timing, and streamflow in Colorado’s mountain watersheds.

She holds dual B.S. degrees in Environmental Studies and Philosophy from Davidson College and an M.S. in Geology from Idaho State University. As Chief of Staff, Olivia supports GPSG’s internal operations, coordinates cross-campus initiatives, and strengthens collaboration between students and university leadership.

Beyond her academic and leadership roles, Olivia finds her balance outdoors—backpacking, trail running, and fly fishing in the summer, and skiing through the Rockies in the winter.
