Stacey Gerasimov

My research integrates geological mapping and stratigraphic analysis with tools like geochemistry, geochronology, sedimentology, and paleontology to answer questions in Earth history. Currently I'm working on characterizing the paleoenvironmental conditions in which early animals first evolved. In particular, I'm examining the relationship between the Neoproterozoic Snowball Earth glaciations on the early history of complex multicellularity.
