Research

Ayon’s research focuses on coupled groundwater hydrology, particularly modeling groundwater flow and heat transport in frozen grounds. He aims to improve understanding of subsurface processes in cold regions under changing climatic conditions.

Previously, Ayon studied climate-driven lake-level fluctuations in the Prairie Pothole Region, using the Cold Region Hydrological Modeling (CRHM) framework to analyze regional-scale changes in water levels and contributing areas.
