Journey to becoming a mental health provider: Isaiah’s journey to becoming a mental health provider began with his grandmother. She had a natural way of listening to others, validating their experiences, and simply being present with them. Watching her shaped many of the qualities he now brings to his work. Over time, he has intentionally developed these same traits, learning how to listen deeply and support others in meaningful ways. His path has been complex but deeply fulfilling, and he is grateful it has led him here.

Areas of expertise or additional training: Isaiah has completed advanced professional training in mindfulness from a holistic and integrative perspective, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic approaches focused on present-moment awareness.

Areas of specialty: Isaiah enjoys working with individuals navigating a wide range of experiences, including disordered behaviors such as rigidity around eating, substance use, self-harm, avoidance, emotional dysregulation, or coping patterns that may no longer feel supportive. He also enjoys supporting athletes through identity exploration, performance pressure, injury, transition, and other challenges, as well as clients navigating complex or significant symptoms. He values connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and finds it deeply rewarding to support clients through life’s challenges, growth, and change.

Approach to care (philosophy): Isaiah's approach to therapy is grounded in three core principles. First, he believes in unconditional positive regard, maintaining faith in each person's strengths and potential even when they may struggle to see it themselves. Second, he values genuine human connection, recognizing that people are people first. Third, he emphasizes collaboration, working alongside clients and trusting in their inherent wisdom to guide growth, healing, and meaningful change.

Hobbies/Interests: Outside of work, Isaiah enjoys creative outlets such as music and writing. He also values competition and was a collegiate athlete. He currently stays active through kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Joining FSAP: Isaiah joined FSAP because his experience with the team felt genuinely welcoming and supportive. He values the strong sense of community within the team, which makes the work feel meaningful and connected.
