Chief financial officer Carla Ho'a has appointed Derek Silva to the role of associate vice chancellor for business strategy, effective May 1, 2022. This change recognizes Silva's increased responsibility in promoting and advancing the CU Boulder Enterprise Corporation (CUBEC) and expanding Finance and Business Strategy's integrated auxiliary structure.
Silva has been a key leader for CU Boulder's south campus annexation and conference center hotel project. In this role he will continue to oversee the Business Strategy Office and the auxiliary service departments within Finance and Business Strategy.
