Infrastructure and Resilience

Infrastructure and Resilience (I&R) oversees an annual operating budget of $104 million. Areas of responsibility include long-range capital planning, architecture, design and construction, the operation and maintenance of all campus facilities and utilities, and workplace accident prevention and the creation of a safe working environment for CU Boulder. I&R is led by the vice chancellor for infrastructure and resilience. 

Departments within I&R include Campus Building Services, Distribution Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Maintenance & Operations, Facilities Management​, I&R Business Services, I&R Sustainability, Outdoor Services, Planning, Design & Construction, and Utility & Energy Services.
