Chief financial officer Carla Ho'a has announced that Brad Weiner will serve as interim assistant vice chancellor and chief data officer, effective September 10, 2021. In this role Weiner will oversee the Office of Data Analytics (ODA).
Seth Spielman, the previous chief data officer, accepted a position with Microsoft. Plans are underway for a search to replace Spielman.
Weiner joined ODA in 2020 as its director of data science. As interim, he will focus on moving forward key ODA projects and initiatives.
