Katrina Spencer starts as associate vice chancellor for budget and finance

Katrina Spencer will join the University of Colorado Boulder and the Finance and Business Strategy team as associate vice chancellor for budget and finance on June 1, 2020. Spencer will be responsible for providing campus-wide leadership and broad strategic oversight in the monitoring, management, and control of CU Boulder’s financial resources. Areas that report to the associate vice chancellor comprise of the Office of Budget & Fiscal Planning and the Campus Controller’s Office. A nationwide search was launched for the position last November.
Spencer has provided financial leadership at higher education institutions for over a decade. She comes to CU from the University of Chicago where she served as the associate vice president of finance and university budget director since 2018. Prior to that role, Spencer was associate vice president for budget and planning at the University of Connecticut. Please join us in welcoming her to CU Boulder!
