Joel Johnson
- GRADUATE STUDENT

Joel Johnson received the B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2021 and 2022 respectively. He interned at UT Dallas in Dr. Kenneth O's Lab and worked on characterizing novel low phase noise VCOs. He also interned at Qorvo in the High-Performance Analog (HPA) group working on modeling RF components, PA/DPD simulations, and MMIC GaN PA design. Enticed by the MMIC design, he decided to join the RF group at the CU Boulder in Spring 2023 to pursue the PhD degree under the advisement of Prof. Scarborough and Prof. Popovic. His research interests are nonlinear transmission lines and high-performance RF front end circuits among other things.
