Michael is from Rice Lake, Wisconsin and studied Mathematics and Physics as an undergraduate at St. John's University in Minnesota. His research interests include reachability theory, optimal control, and multi-objective design optimization (as well as anything else space related). He also enjoys rock climbing, skiing, playing the guitar, and snuggling with his roommate's dog, Duke.
