CliftonStrengths: Relator, Individualization, Analytical, Harmony, Arranger

Lauren was born and raised in the Syracuse, NY area. After choosing to pursue higher education in southern Virginia at the College of William and Mary (with majors in Psychology and Elementary Education), she spent the next 18+ years in Raleigh, NC. Lauren earned her Masters and Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University while working for the school full time. She spent most of her time at NC State as an academic advisor for undergraduate business majors, with some additional experience working with first-year undeclared students. Most recently, Lauren was an academic advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences with the Psychology and Neuroscience majors before moving to the Program in Exploratory Studies.  Lauren is passionate about getting to know students so she can help them choose the best options for them as they learn more about themselves and their future career interests.

Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys getting to know Colorado through spending time outside with her dogs Amabelle and Baxter, cooking/baking, skiing and traveling as often as possible. She was fortunate enough to be able to explore Europe twice while participating in a study abroad trip with undergraduate students in Germany. She has a soft spot for France after adjunct teaching at a French business school in the US for several years and would love to go back soon!
