Ali Arams
- Academic Advisor
- PROGRAM IN EXPLORATORY STUDIES
Ali grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California. She graduated from Chapman University with a major in theater, a minor in English, and an eagerness to enroll at CU Boulder for her master’s in education. She was thrilled to join the CU community, but not before spending a year teaching English in rural Tanzania where she launched a school breakfast program.
Upon graduating from CU, she taught theater and English with an emphasis on supporting students seeking more academic, linguistic, and/or emotional support. With a deep appreciation for educational exploration, she also spent a few years studying and practicing various modalities of holistic wellness. It all comes together for her as an academic advisor where she combines her various backgrounds to best support her fellow buffs.
In her free time, she enjoys her two black cats (Tulip and Julian), gardening, writing music, learning languages, world dance, and continuing her practice in the healing arts and involvement in the African nonprofit sector. The next places she hopes to travel to are Morocco and Sierra Leone.
Where would you like to travel to? Come put a pin on the map at her cubicle!
