How did your fall semester go?
You made it. It’s the end of the semester. Your coursework is behind you, and your finals will soon be, too. Congratulations! How does it feel? How did your fall semester go?
Take some time to reflect on your experiences. Think about your classes, your professors and your extracurricular activities. Try making a list of what you liked and disliked. Use these questions to get started:
- What did you enjoy?
- Which professors did you connect with?
- What activities brought you the most excitement and fun?
- What was difficult or challenging?
- What professors or courses did you not exactly jive with?
Next, set a goal for one thing you want to try in the spring. It could be a class, a club, an activity or an adventure. Do you want to try a new coffee shop or restaurant? Do you want to join an intramural sports team? Do you want to get involved in social action or community service? It doesn’t have to be anything major, but pick one new thing you want to explore when you return from winter break.
Setting goals and reflecting on previous experiences are excellent ways to decompress from the current semester and look forward to the one ahead. Enjoy your time off, and we’ll see you in the spring!
