Class of 2020: Benjamin Kohut
Architecture major and Colorado native Benjamin Kohut plans to work as an intern at LOA Architecture in Denver.
These last four years have been amazing and full of great memories, I wish they wouldn’t have gotten cut short, I miss you all already.
What inspired you to come to ENVD?
ENVD inspired me to come and not only learn about architecture but come and learn how to use my design skills to solve problems we all face daily.
What is one of the greatest experiences or lessons from your time at CU Boulder that you'll carry with you into the next chapter of your life?
My greatest lesson is learning to take every opportunity you are given to learn and gain experience because if you don’t you are just letting yourself fall behind.
Based on what you know now, what is your best piece of advice for other students?
Put your due dates as a week earlier so you can receive critical feedback to make your projects that much better.
Favorite memory?
My favorite memories are always tied to late-night studio nights where we are all working so hard and for so long we have to order food for delivery as a group.
What does graduating from college represent for you?
It represents me taking my first step in pursuing my dream of becoming an architect, and that although you will face problems in life it is how you approach them that defines who you are.
What are your plans beyond graduation?
I am moving to Denver to work for LOA Architecture as an intern.
