Ann DangAt the end of every year, the American Institute of Architecture Students hosts its Forum, offering AIAS members the opportunity to hear from industry leaders, discuss issues and topics relevant to architecture and design education, as well as connect with members from across the U.S.

During last month's AIAS Forum, Ann Dang, a senior in architecture and co-president of AIAS at CU Boulder, hosted the panel discussion In-Fringe: Reinterpreting Race & Gender in Architecture. In-Fringe was built on a student-led exploration and the panelists included Danei Cesario, AIA NCARB, A.L. Hu, Assoc. AIA and Renee Kemp-Rotan, CEO Studiorotan.

Check out the In-Fringe booklet, which seeks to provoke readers about gender and race issues in architecture and design through a series of poems. The poems and photos were created from information and observations gathered at the 2018 AIA Conference in New York.
