Reilly C. Gabel

My name is Reilly Gabel, and I’m a junior at CU Boulder double majoring in Creative Writing and Asian Studies. I enjoy volunteering, being outside, and meeting new people. I started writing when I got my first journal at five years old. I wrote my first poem for an assignment when I was fifteen. I knew writing was my passion because I would always come back to it. I’d abandon writing for a time and then start it back up again. In a way, writing has always been there for me. I want to teach English abroad, or anything that combines writing and traveling. I plan on going to South Korea after I graduate and maybe pursuing an MFA down the line. I never would have thought that would be an option, because, up until last year, I was an MCDB (biology) major. It wasn’t a very hard decision to make, and I’m glad I did.
