Writer and scholar Jenny Cookson is founding Editor of MANIFOLD: Experimental Criticism; she is also on the executive committee for the MLA Genre Studies Nonfiction Prose Forum. She was formerly Managing Editor for CU’s English Language Notes, and has held commercial editorial positions with Doubleday Publishing Group and Kirkus Media. Jenny has a PhD in Literature and a Master’s in Creative Writing (Poetry), both from CU Boulder, as well as a BA in English from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Current projects include: “Castle: Ideologies of Exclusion in American Domestic Space," an experimental monograph; “Strata: Poessays,” a critique of ecofeminist essentialism; “Inoculation: Cotton Mather and the Destroying Angel, Variola or, Smallpox,” a verse history; and “Indigo,” a novel set in the 18th century colonial Atlantic.
