James Carson

James Carson is a lecturer for the Department of English, having graduated from the PhD program in August 2025. He earned both his BA and MA from the University of York (UK). His research interests include critical theory, world systems theory, indebtedness, automation and the future of work, theories of the novel, and horror fiction. James has also taught for the Division of Continuing Education and CU’s Pre-Collegiate Development Program. In his free time, James enjoys ski mountaineering, climbing, and running Boulder’s trails with his dog, Zoe.
