  • MA Student
Evan is an MA student studying Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is a former high school educator and taught English and writing at The Ewing Marion Kauffman School in Kansas City, Missouri and The Desert Marigold School in Phoenix, Arizona. Evan is deeply passionate about helping others in their educational journeys, and his work in education has been one of his life's greatest joys. After completing his graduate studies, Evan hopes to return to his career as an educator.

Although Evan is considering many research interests as a first-year MA student, he frequently investigated the intersection of behavioral economics and literature as an undergraduate student. His paper “Behavioral Economics in Macbeth: Sunk Costs, Impulse, and Tyrannical Investments” received an award from the English department. Evan graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Minor in English in 2017.

Evan enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and skiing. Recently, he picked up wildlife and landscape photography. His favorite image is of two bison calves play-fighting in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley.
